Having a background within the fitness/nutrition world opened my eyes to the amount of people who are simply intimidated by a weight room, a workout regimen, cutting out foods to replace them with healthy ones..etc. But what if being healthy wasn’t as complex as you previously thought?
Start with the most basic thing you can do: Listen to your body. Interoceptive signals are your internal cues about how you are feeling, and whats going on inside your body. It gives us the ability to identify, access, understand, and respond appropriately to what the body needs. When we reconnect with the ability to pay attention to what our body is asking for, often, the solution unveils itself readily, whether it's drinking water, eating a specific food, or moving in a particular way. What does your body need today? Perhaps a walk to get your blood pumping, an extra glass of water, or maybe even going to bed an hour early. Stop, Listen, and Respond. Once you understand what your body needs, your healthy habits will establish themselves.
